Mission Minded privacy policy
Mission Minded is a trip-coordination app for church mission trips. You
can only use it when a trip leader invites you. This policy explains what
we store and why.
What we store
- Account: your name, email address, and optional
profile photo, via Sign in with Apple or Google.
- Trip content: messages, photos, and documents you
share with your trip team. Content is visible only to participants of
your trip (and the organization staff who run it).
- Location (optional): if you opt in during an active
trip, your latest position — and only the latest; no movement history —
is shared with your trip team. Sharing runs while the app is open. If you
also turn on background sharing and allow "Always" location access, it
keeps updating while the app is closed or not in use (Android shows a
notification while it does). Both can be turned off at any time, and every
position is permanently deleted when the trip ends.
- Translator: translation history stays on your phone.
It is never uploaded.
- Diagnostics: crash reports and app performance
measurements (Firebase Crashlytics / Performance) so we can fix problems.
These are not used for advertising.
What we don't do
- No ads, no ad tracking, no sale of data, no data brokers.
- No analytics profiles of your behavior.
- No location history: we never keep a trail of where you've been, and
your location is never collected unless you turn sharing on.
Where data lives
Google Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Storage, Authentication) in the
us-east1 region. Transactional email is sent through Brevo.
Deletion
Leaving a trip removes you from its roster and map. Deleting your
account removes your profile and authentication record; messages you sent
remain attributed to a removed member. Location data is deleted
automatically at trip end. See
missionmindedapp.com/delete-account for the
full account-deletion process, or contact
privacy@missionmindedapp.com.
Children
Accounts are for adults and youth participants invited by their
organization; organizations are responsible for obtaining consent for
participants under the age of consent in their jurisdiction.
